About Avocadamidopropyl Betaine
Avocadamidopropyl Betaine is a zwitterion (inner salt) derived from fatty acids from avocado oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, and to increase the amount of foam and keep it from collapsing easily.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smooth conditioning, to leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so that raw materials can become wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is used to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
