About Amp-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein
AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is the aminomethylpropanol of the condensation product of hydrolyzed wheat protein and isostearoyl chloride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and smooth hair by reducing tangling and rough feel.[3] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
